Everything You Know is Pong: A Ping-Pong Tournament of Champions
A Benefit for 826LA
Who: 826LA volunteers, supporters, and friends. And a few special guests.
What: A Ping-Pong Tournament of Champions to Benefit 826LA
When: Tuesday, July 19, 2011, 7:30 PM
Where: The Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026
Why: To raise funds for the non-profit creative writing and tutoring center, 826LA
How: There will be 24 teams in the Everything You Know is Pong ping-pong tournament, and your team can be one of them. Please note, ONLY THE TOP 20 FUNDRAISING TEAMS WILL PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT. Each game will be one player versus one player. Any player from a team can play, but a team may only have one representative player per game.
After registering online, teams or individuals will then begin to raise money for 826LA. The top 4 fundraisers will qualify to skip the initial round of the tournament and go straight to the SWEET SIXTEEN round, where they will have an opportunity to select their opponent from our special guests, to be announced.
The remaining 16 players will participate in several tantalizing and nerve-wracking rounds of elimination table tennis, until the final players will join our top fundraisers and special guest players in the SWEET SIXTEEN round. At that point, the tournament will continue until ONE winner remains: the champion.
There will be special prizes for all fundraisers, but special prizes TBA for the winner and top fundraisers.
